Our journey into... read more the remote Welsh countryside led us to a wonderfully picturesque cottage where we were met by Helena (our hostess) & the devoted owner of four (14st) Kune Kune pigs. She allowed us to share in the unique experience of walking & feeding her precious pets whilst answering our numerous questions. We wandered along the lane at a very leisurely pace & were then treated to tea/coffee & a yummy array of cakes & strawberries back at the cottage where we chatted to our fellow pig-walkers & Poppy & Rob (a lovely couple). Waterproofs & wellies highly recommended as (understandably) these 'gentle giants' don't respect your clothing... A very unusual activity which will delight all animal lovers.

We went... read more mid-Jan, on a dry day. The setting is beautiful and we found the location easy to find. We used a Sat Nav to get to the general area before consulting google maps and the what3words app. It's about a 10 minute drive off the main road.

We walked 3 lovely pigs up and down the valley with Helena, their owner. Helena was friendly and very knowledgable. It is VERY important to my partner and I that these animals are not exploited and I am pleased to say that Helena clearly loves her pigs and takes very good care of them!

The Pig-nic was also great. Some nice tea/coffee to warm us up, and plenty of cake. No complaints! We even met the dog Glen who was adorable.

We would definitely recommend this experience. Experiences are better gifts than possessions.

I booked it as a surprise for my partner. ... read more Having a Birthday is not convenient in November when you want to do things like this! but we made the most out of it! Julia took us on a shorter walk as the ground was very boggy. We enjoyed grooming the donkeys before the walk too, and then afterwards we had fun trying help Julia to get the donkeys used to getting into a trailer, easier said than done! All in all we had a wonderful couple of hours and I would recommend this.

  I love the Brecon Beacons anyway and what better way to enjoy the nature with some animal friends.

I marked family with teenagers but we are all over 30!... read more We have done both the pig walk and Donkey walk and play time. Both experiences were wonderful. The ladies for each experience were very helpful, patient and gave us lots of information about the animals and answering zl' our questions.

The pig walk was so nice and by the end had discovered all of their personalities. The pignic was a lovely end to the experience.

The Donkey walk and play time was also very enjoyable. On arrival we quickly learnt all of their names and some of their personality traits. Playing with the donkeys and encouraging them was a very unique and delightful experience.

Such beautiful animals and thank you to our hosts, we will be back to try out the other experiences

He was delighted when I told him what we would be doing and the... read more whole experience exceeded expectations. The location is beautiful and the pigs are wonderful. It was amazing getting to know their individual personalities. All three (Willow,Hazel and Holly) are very different. Feeding and walking them is a unique experience and a perfect gift for any animal lover.
Our hostess Helena deserves a big mention too because she was amazing. Very informative and kind. It was a pleasure getting to know her. Thank you again for accommodating us. As vegans she gave us a fantastic array of cookies and sweet treats to end the fabulous day.
If you are still questioning whether or not to book a good day out trip just remember that part of the money you pay goes to a really important animal charity called Retiremutt. Just go for it! You will not regret booking!
