……..but sadly they didn’t make the final cut so thought you’d like to see some of the photos from the day to prove how amazingly well behaved they were with Sir Gareth and his lovely wife Maureen on the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal. Gareth Edwards’ Great Welsh Adventure will be shown on Friday 1st November at 6.30pm, and we’ll still be watching to see some of our other local friends!
Bertie and Goose behaved like Pro’s and chilled whilst waiting for the action.
Maverick missed out on his moment of stardom as he was in the naughty corner that week and we didn’t want anyone in the canal, and Betty just declined politely to be filmed.
The Good Day Out Dinky Donkeys have been doing occasional canal walks at Pencelli, just south of Brecon, for the last year in conjunction The Canal & River Trust in Wales. The towpath walks normally start at Cambrian Cruisers and include tea at The Royal Oak, so it was nice to meet the crew and national treasure Sir Gareth Edwards on this beautiful stretch of the canal.
Understandably, Goose couldn’t wait to get back to the dressing room area for a good gravel roll and de-stress after filming.
Huge thanks to donkey wranglers & official support crew Barry & Nikki 🙂
