Liven up your video conference with an appearance from a Mini Donkey, snoozing Piggy, Duck or a Guinea Pig! Funds go towards experiences to Treat the brilliant NHS & Careworkers for when the Coronavirus crisis is over.
During the lockdown, have a bit of fun and invite one of the Good Day Out stable of animals to your video conference, or just buy a virtual animal encounter for family and friends. The encounter will be streamed live from the Brecon Beacons in Wales, just for you!
You can choose from the Mini Donkeys (Maverick, Goose or Bertie), standard Donkey Betty, the Kune Kune piggies (Holly, Hazel, Willow & Babz – most likely more than one will participate), Daisy the Duck, Snow the pony who looks like a unicorn or our smallest recruit Toro the Guinea Pig. Please note that the Piggies spend a lot of time sleeping, so may snooze through your meeting.
We can even add in a personalised message, which will be positioned in view so you can say Happy Father’s Day, Happy Birthday, Happy Anniversary or even Will You Marry Me for a virtual proposal!
Your chosen animal will attend your meeting for around 15 minutes, and we aim to accommodate date and time requests by prearrangement. We can also interact by Skype or Whatsapp if preferred, and sound can be on or off depending on your requirements as nature can be noisy.
The virtual experiences cost £50, and half of all money taken will donate towards the Good Day Out Treat the NHS Fund which will give discounts and treats to NHS staff & Careworkers for all Good Day Out experiences when we are able. The exact discounts and treats will be dependent on funds available and will be promoted when we have an indication of when it is safe to resume our normal experience days & activities. The other half of the money taken will go towards the animals participating & their welfare. Although you may think the fee is expensive, whilst the crisis lasts the animals all still need feed, shelter and attention to their health along with contact and mucking out twice a day. This is a way of supporting them until we can start our normal activities again.
Should you be really keen to have a virtual visit but cannot afford the £50 fee, please do get in touch as we are keen to brighten peoples’ days.
If you would like to book a specific date, either email us or book via the Experience page or book here and we will be in touch as quickly as possible. If you would like to donate towards our Treat the NHS Fund without having a virtual visit, please have a look at our pay it forward gift card.
Good Day Out has been offering small group experiences that help people to engage with the landscape, animals and conservation for the last 6 years. All our experiences are held within very small groups or are available as private sessions, and are perfect ways to re-tune your health and wellbeing. With many participants who suffer from PTSD or other anxiety issues, as well as people just wanting to have a good day out, we have perfect days out to relax and unwind. Looking forward to seeing you again soon.
